Continuing Education at Arctic Dental – Spring 2019
Over the first quarter of 2019 our office has been busy with attending continuing education to better serve our patients. We have attended courses in Chicago, IL and Coralville, IA. We aim to stay on top of the current trends in children’s dentistry.
The Chicago Midwinter meeting was a great opportunity for networking and courses. Our dental assistants were able to attend the meeting, and Dr. Jarod took continuing education courses to stay up to date on the changes in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Jarod recently lectured for Xcel Dental Seminars in Seattle, WA. The group of over sixty dentists were engaging and receptive to the new trends in the specialty. Dr. Jarod was able to provide education on minimally invasive dentistry for kids, as well as treatments to help avoid root canals in kids. Our passion for the most conservative treatment for your children has helped educate other dentists on the benefits of keeping teeth healthy.
We recently attended “Update in prevention and caries arrest” presented by Dr. Margherita Fontana this month. The lecture was sponsored by Delta Dental of Iowa.
The course covered the treatment of cavities in teeth with a focus on conservative treatment of cavities. The course provided evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of teeth with fluoride, sealants, minimally invasive dentistry, silver diamine fluoride (SDF), Hall Crowns, and partial cavity removal. We are happy to offer a variety of these dental services at our office.
